Great....save me a lot of manual work...thanks :) I do have a comment. All my folders contain a cover.jpg file and other jpg, but cover.jpg is first alphabetically. The search algorithm pick cover.jpg for most albums but some time it picks other jpg, what is the reason for this?

I'd like to vote for the priority of auto-cover-finding :) I have hundreds of albums and to add cover art for each one is just a daunting task. Each of my album has either a front.jpg or cover.jpg file, can you suggest a script to add them in the meantime? Thanks.

Questions / mplayer next/previous song no sound
October 09, 2010, 18:28:17
I'm using gmb 1.1.5 and mplayer backend. When a song is playing, goto the next/previous song, there is no sound even though it's playing. If I stop and play the same song, there is sound. I had this problem with stable version as well and had to put in some options for mplayer. I forgot what they were, can someone help? Thanks.

In the "edit multiple songs properties" dialog, the drop down for "auto fill based on filenames..." have several options but the one I need is not there. My filenames are in the following format: "track. title - artist". Can I add additional options to it? Thanks.

yes, I'd tried mplayer, it works well....it's just that I've gotten used to key bindings in xine. ;)

For some reasons, mpg123 uses a lot of cpu power on my system. I use xine to play all my video files, so I hope you'll consider xine in the future

I really like that gmb can use various backends for playback. Do you have plan to add support for xine http://www.xine-project.org/home?

I edited xdg-open script to behave appropriately for my system. I agree these options should be available in the gui in the next version. Thanks.

Questions / Re: total play list length
December 28, 2009, 05:58:26
Cool.....I like it. Thanks for the code. Everything works except for the the "listed songs" option on playlist. I have listed option on both the playlist (left pane) and and the songlist (bottom right pane), the total on the songlist update properly, but the one on the playlist doesn't update. It always show the same value even when I clear the playlist or change the numbers of songs in the playlist. Can you give me some advices?

I'm using version 1.0.2 and my window player layout is "playlist, library & context". I couldn't find the total widget, is it only available in version 1.1.x?
