the default behaviour is to enqueue it at the end of the queue.

how do we define the default behaviour on double clicking a song? in Arkanoid, the song plays right away but in vast one's layout it  enqueues...

I think what you need is the queue actions options
it is available in more or less every layout somewhere or other
there you can choose the player behaviour at the end of the queue whether it autofills or stops or player quits or even shuts down the system.

same layout works fine on my laptop but creating problem with my desktop on same distro same version
(i tried latest version GMB from quentin's page on GIT and reverted back to shimmer version also) there is no --> button and the right bar looks clumsy

Open the "->"-menu and click "Alternative position for timebar"

not necessary , just wishful thinking.
once again, can the search bar search for "ANY TEXT" from the whole metadata including the comments or lyricist or custom fields?

another small thing, the simple search box does not search all the variables from the metadata. can it be made to search anything related to the tracks including comments..
or may be the filter box having an option to search for "any text" in the metadata??

just adding my wishes for the same layout
a button or kinda plugin or a keyboard shortcut to append a song at the begining of the queue, just after the currently playing song. the present enqueue button adds it to the end of the queue.
secondly the choice of playlist filter if it is like a drop down list (like in banshee auto add mode), and same for the weighted random choices.

In player
when i use the latest arkanoid layout
the player suddenly exits without any warning on changing the song or attempting to rate or any other minor action
i am sticking to older version of arkanoid
nevertheless it is too good
i dont have any problem with fullscreen with queue, i made a small layout of that and use it as default fullscreen
it works great
does it have to do with some theme change you did?

The fullscreen with Queue is great. I exactly wanted that.
however in previous two development changes, my GMB crashes if i Attempt to change the song or even attempt to rate a song
i am working with the version before that
