In beta 1.5, how do I add composer to the browser.

There is still no gui for that, but you can edit the gmusicbrowser_songs.pm file to activate it, simply search for composer, and add a "#" at the beginning of the "_disabled=>1," line.
Then you need to re-read the tags of your files.
Add a column by right clicking on the columns, add a composer list by right-clicking on the tabs of the artist/album/... list (called FilterPanes).
You can also use $composer in all places where %t, %a ... are used
