All of my cover images have the same name some work some don't, i am more confused as to why those are not working than the fact they are not working
This is the folder tree of my music folder
http://pastebin.com/aJcM2mrL
i know the cover.jpg on lines 48 and 40 are not working, the "%C" parameter in the "Now Playing" plugin is NULL, not "NULL" but NULL as in ""
i know the image on line 15 works even though it is actually a png file
i know the image on line 247 works
i am fairly certain all covers work from lines 72 to 226 and 281 to 344
OS and version info:

Currently gmb uses some rather complicated rules to automatically choose covers.
In particular no cover is chosen when the folder(s) containing the songs of the album contains songs from other albums (or what gmb consider as other albums).
The rules to auto-select cover are not yet configurable but they will be.
Of course you can also select covers manually by right-clicking on an album and choose "set picture"

i went at looked at the meta data of one of the affected albums, i had 2 albums in the same sub folder, separated them and it fixed it
as for the other, it looks like the meta data matches the folder paths
- only use that site cause it is integrated with the xfce4-screenshot application

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work on this one, maybe for some reason the song has been grouped with others as an album. You can check that by right-clicking on the song and select "find songs in same albums".
As I said the current rules are a bit complicated (to try to handle various cases smartly), which from a user perspective can make them appear broken. When it will be configurable there will be simpler rules available, and maybe used by default.

By the way, gmb can display and edit the song properties too, no need to use your file browser.

for some reason non of the things you said in the right click menu seems to exist
file browser was to verify data
the artist, track, and album are all completely unique.
the only attributes with non unique values are play time, track number, play count, and year
the image was scaled down and saved using gimp

edit:
do you think you could make the default album image be the application icon
if(!C){
C='gmusicbrowser'
}

eg command
notify-send --icon gmusicbrowser hi wall
