When trying to sort the albums, i have the following choices : sort by year, and sort by year (highest). But there is no difference between the two of them... I suppose the second one should sort the album and place the newer at the top of the page (which is not the case now).
Is it some kind of bug, or is it just me ?

No, the difference is for albums that include tracks from multiple years.
I added an option to reverse the order in git (after 1.1.8) :
