Questions / mplayer alsa output
November 05, 2018, 18:07:15
Hello,

In terminal output can be sent to a USB DAC with something like

mplayer -ao alsa:device=hw=DAC.0 song.ogg

but in gmusicbrowser, setting the mplayer options to "-ao alsa:device=hw=DAC.0" does not work: there is no sound, no progress bar movement for the songs. Any ideas ?

Hello,

I upgraded to Ubuntu 16.04 and GMB 1.1.15 sometimes (not always) hangs or crashes on quit.
I did not have this problem on Ubuntu 14.04

As it turns out there already is an issue on github: https://github.com/squentin/gmusicbrowser/issues/131

Questions / mp2 files

Hello,

Do you plan to add support for MP2 files ?

Rhythmbox seems to handle them (on Ubuntu).

Questions / Embedded pictures
September 19, 2014, 10:51:01
Hello,

In gmb 1.1.12 (ubuntu 14.04),  I do not always see embedded pictures.
Some embedded pics are displayed, others are not

An earlier post talks about tagging the picture as 'front cover':

Quoteabout embedded pictures, it only uses them automatically if the embedded picture is tagged as "front cover", I plan to make this condition an option in the future.

Does this still hold ?

Questions / Libre.fm
November 07, 2013, 18:27:31
Bonjour,

Hello,

I found  this bug on Launchpad https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gmusicbrowser/+bug/784115

On Ubuntu 12.04, gmb does not appear in Unity settings -> Default applications -> Music.
Nor does it appear in the list of recommended applications in Nautilus properties for mp3 or ogg files.

Questions / Add folders does nothing
September 16, 2012, 12:46:30
Hello,

I like gmb but today I noticed that I can't add folders (as opposed to automatically scanned folders).

My version of gmb is 1.1.9 on xubuntu 12.04;

I tried 'Add files or folders' in the main menu.

gmd lets me add files (all selected files within a folder), but nothing happens if a containing folder is selected.

This problem occurs in 2 user profiles on the same machine.
Do you have an idea what might be wrong ?
