Title: non global shortcut keys
Post by: frabato56 on August 18, 2015, 01:31:37
Hi All,

I have tried to set the space bar to control pause/play by going to settings>keys> but it doesn't work. I don't need the shortcut to be global, it only needs to work when gmusicbrowser is focused. I teach piano and the computer keyboard sits on top of the electronic piano. I reach over the students to play or pause music and the space bar is by far the most convenient shortcut key. What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

Thanks

I've added a checkbox to make the shortcut "high-priority" (that is, override widget's shortcut unless it's a text entry) some months ago. It's in the git repository.
So you can either use the git version (it's not too hard) or wait for the new release in 1 or 2 days, there will be a deb file for debian/ubuntu on the download page.
