Questions / gmbrc crashed again
September 09, 2015, 22:02:21
Hi.
After system crash I restarted Mint 17.1, finding:
gmbrc        8,5 kB
gmbrc.bak         0 byte
gmbrc.bak.20150909.xz         2,1 MB
...
...
gmbrc.error         0 byte
gmbrc.premove         3,1 MB

when my last backupped gmbrc is 12,4 MB
GMB says my collection is empty...

After restoring it, everything is fine.
What happened?

Thanks

Hi,
my collection is 43882 songs.
Few days ago I found 17097 files which had lost their ratings, album images, # reproduction/skips, genres, labels...
Thinking it was a gmbrc file corruption problem I restored a backup version of it, but with no positive result.
Am I doing something wrong? What can I do to get back my settings?
Thanks

Questions / [solved] .mpc not recognized
June 12, 2014, 15:39:40
from your main page:
support ogg vorbis, mp3 and flac files (and mpc/ape/m4a with gstreamer or mplayer)

I'm trying to read some .mpc files (with gstreamer) but it fails:

Errore di riproduzione : Impossibile decodificare lo stream. at /usr/bin/../share/gmusicbrowser/gmusicbrowser_gstreamer-0.10.pm line 137.

Nedd some extra tool?

Bye'n thanks

Hi.
I'm new to gmb: it's simply fan-ta-stic!!!
I'm testing it before importing all my music (42000 music files) in it.
At now I've imported about 10000, everything is fine, I'm very happy with it, but I realize I need to move music folders from one disk to another.
What's the right way to do it? Mass moving doesn't work for me (covers files...) and I'm afraid to lose all job done up to now...
Pleeze...
THX, byez :)
